Today we woke up to no water in our upstairs bathroom. The landlord sent over a plumber, who told us, "Yeah, the pipes are probably frozen, but I don't want to cut into the wall if I don't have to, so why don't you just wait it out?" FANTASTIC. Fortunately, we have some good friends who were willing to let us use their shower, and they offered to let us borrow a space heater, too. [Thank you, Tara and Tim!] Hopefully this incident will end without broken pipes and flooding....

um, i think our major appliances are secretly plotting together because this morning i woke up to no HOT water in the shower, which has since evolved to no WARM water and only water that feels like 80,000 icicles piercing through your body which is admittedly better than no water but still. weird. and our car batteries dying and coming back to life together... it's a little freaky fridayish to me.
I hope the heater works!
