At the beginning of this year, I took a picture of our cat Amelie, who was dealing with a chronic health condition. At the end of January, sadly, she had to be put to sleep, which was rough on both Eric and me.
Recently, though, we had begun to discuss the possibility of getting another cat. My sister overheard one of these conversations and, being an expert on cute, furry animals, she took her husband to the pound to help her find one for us. They surprised us with this cute little lady on Christmas.
We named her Natalie. It's nice to have a cat around the house again, especially one that's so cuddly.
