365:131 - Afghan
When we were at my grandmother's house on Sunday, she passed along this afghan. Apparently a woman made it for a sale that was a fundraiser for their church. The woman had spent a lot of time on the afghan, and she was very proud of it. As the sale went on and nobody stepped up to purchase it, my grandfather decided that he would buy it. He didn't need the afghan, but he knew that his purchase would flatter the woman who had made it and let her know that she had made a valuable contribution.
Even though my grandfather has passed away, I continue to learn from him. I have fantastic role models in my life.
