I hope you all don't get tired of cat photos.

276 - looking at 2009
I did a Project 365 in 2009, and I finally got around to ordering an album to put the pictures in. Here's Eric looking through them.
275 - high water
It was a beautiful evening, so we took a walk downtown. The Mighty Susquehanna is still flowing pretty high.

274 - rainy day
By the time Hurricane Irene made it to Owego, it was just another rainy day with a little extra wind.
271 - camera and dress
This is the dress that I wore in my sister's wedding. I love this dress, but I haven't worn it since then because I gained some weight, and it didn't fit quite right. I put it on, just to see, and it seems to fit better now! Maybe I'll have an occasion to wear it this fall...
268 - geese
As we were driving home from Sky Lake, these geese were flying across the sky. Where are geese headed at the end of August?
266 - night garage
Our neighbor two doors down has his garage (and his front yard) lit up quite strikingly. If you look closely, you'll see that his apple tree dropped a whole bunch of apples in his driveway. Good thing he doesn't park his car in the garage!
265 - tall
Some of the plants along Owego's Riverwalk are kind of overgrown, but they're fun to take photos of!
264 - plaid shirt
I enjoy this old shirt. It must have come from a thrift store, but I honestly can't remember.
263 - painting the face
One of the programs for teens we had this summer was a Chinese Opera Mask workshop, led by staff from Binghamton University's Institute for Asia and Asian Diasporas. I was so impressed with some of the teens' work!
262 - new friend
We found this gentleman at the Thrifty Shopper in Binghamton, and we brought him home to live with us.
261 - Tom Sieling
Our final performer for the summer reading program was a musician named Tom Sieling.
260 - hug
Before Eric's cousin Lizzie left for college, his grandmother had everyone over for dinner. Everyone will miss having Lizzie around, but Grandma Yetter will especially miss her company.
PS - After uploading a good number of photos, I realized that I had missed another day in between this photo and the previous one. However, I'm too lazy to delete them all, upload another "whoops" placeholder, and then re-upload. I hope you will forgive me.258 - watching the game
We went with Eric's grandparents to see a Binghamton Mets baseball game. As you can see, it was very serious business.
257 - steel drum
The Vertical Focus Steel Drum Band came again to our library to teach the teens and tweens how to play the steel drums. Their director is a fantastic teacher--at the end of 45 minutes, fifteen kids who had never played steel drums before were able to play a short song together!
254 - conga line
One of the programs for our summer reading program was the Vertical Focus Steel Drum Band. We were lucky that the weather held off long enough for us to hold the program in the garden. The kids really enjoyed being able to dance around to the music!
253 - raspberries
Eric planted some raspberry plants in our yard, and we got a few berries from them!

248 - Bruce Weaver
Another one of our summer reading program performers! This gentleman had the kids really entertained with his animal puppets and funny songs.
241 - library books
I love the library. This is my haul from my latest visit to the one here in Owego.
238 - brick wall and river
I believe that we were on our way to get Mexican food when I took this shot from above the empty lot on Front Street in Owego. Soon there will be a park in this spot--it's going to be fantastic!
237 - test shot
I took photos of the Sky Lake Music Camp concert, but I gave them all to Matt for the camp photo website. This one I took on my own memory card, just to test the light.
236 - flip-flops
This was a situation where I got into bed and then realized I had forgotten to take a photo. Eric said, "Go take one quick!" His flip-flops were right next to my camera case.
235 - Tioga County Fair
Although they are kind of gaudy, I do enjoy small doses of county fair ride lights.
234 - tickets
We went to visit with Eric's dad as he was setting up his cows at the Tioga County Fair, and as we were leaving I had to stop and get a shot of this ticket booth that had been abandoned under a tree. (I kind of want to bring it home...it would make a fantastic photo prop, don't you think?)
231 - artsy car
When we went to visit Christie and Tim, Baltimore was having its Artscape festival. We got to see a lot of interesting things, including cars that had been fashioned into these incredibly complex pieces of artwork....and they still drive around! It was awesome.

230 - Peace Tea
We got some of this Peace Tea to quench our thirst on our car ride to visit Christie and Tim.
229 - Michael Albert
Michael Albert is a pop artist who creates artwork from cut-up cereal boxes. He came to lead a workshop for the teens and tweens at the library, and he made an original piece of artwork for our library!
227 - evening bird
This bird was perched on our neighbor's roof at dusk, and I loved the silhouette.
226 - Wacky Chad
Wacky Chad was one of the performers that we had at the library as part of our Summer Reading Program. As you can see, he's kind of a crazy person who does a bunch of insane stunts. It was quite enjoyable to watch.
225 - clothesline
One of my very favorite things about this summer is our clothesline. The superhot days have been made more bearable by the thought that the sun will dry our clothes quickly without using any extra energy!
224 - ambiance
We hung out with some of Eric's family at the Lost Dog in Binghamton. It's an awesome place--great food and great atmosphere. I love these lights--I wonder if I could find a place for lights like this in our house...
