Our hyacinth got pummeled by the rainstorm last night, so it's taking a rest.

148 - dew
I'm not really a morning person, so I don't usually get to see that occur in the early hours. Today being Easter, however, Eric and I went to a sunrise service, and afterwards, I noticed the dew for the first time this spring.
So awesome.

147 - base runner
Eric went to an estate auction yesterday, and he came home with a $5 prize--a game called Electric Baseball.
The "baseballs" are magnets that get thrown against a piece of metal that you hit with a plastic "bat," and if you get a hit, you flip a switch that makes the entire board vibrate, and the runners go sliding around this track to the bases.
It's good in theory, but it's nigh unto impossible to hit the "baseballs" past the pitching mound.

146 - onion skin
Eric made chili today (yum!), and the onion and garlic skins sitting on the counter near the window caught my eye.

144 - budding branch
I worked the later shift today, so I took some time this morning to walk on Owego's River Walk. The trees are starting to put out buds, which is exciting to me!

141 - rainbow
We had weird weather this afternoon, but that always results in something fantastic, like this rainbow!

139 - Erie
Eric went with his grandparents to an antique show, and he got a great deal on this old light-up sign. We live on Erie Street, so it fits perfectly! I pulled out the pinhole attachment to get a shot of it.

138 - curlicue
A nice spring evening called for a walk to Brick Pond. It was pretty soggy from the rain earlier this week, so I didn't get onto the path to go around the whole pond. The birds were singing, though, and the reflections on the water were fantastic. Since there were no leaves on the shrubs and trees, I got to notice the beauty in the chaos of the branches.

134 - cilantro
We stopped by Achieve to water the seeds and plants in the greenhouse. I'm excited that Eric gets to work on this project at his job.
133 - Erie Street at night
We came home from seeing the play Master Class (about the opera singer Maria Callas) at the Ti-Ahwaga Theater, and it was warm enough that we took a stroll around the block. I really enjoy where we live!

131 - almost spring
Here's how I know it's almost spring:
- It was still above 50 degrees when I left work this evening.
- Our neighbor took the plow attachment off his lawn mower.
- It's 8pm, and I can still see the trees across the road.
- The yard is beginning to be more green than brown.
I'm ready.

130 - dictionary flower
When Reanna and Dan were getting ready to move, they were shedding a lot of books. One of those books was an old dictionary. I said that it was good for origami, and Dan handed it to me.
I found this pattern for a flower, I like it--it's simple, and I like the way it looks. I'm hoping to work up the ambition to make a string of these to hang in our house.

129 - load of whites
It's time to catch up on the laundry. Fortunately, this is one of the household chores that I don't dread!

128 - rainy roadtrip
After a beautiful sunny weekend in Boston, it rained for most of our trip back to Owego.
126 - blue sky over Boston
We had good weather for our visit, so we hiked to the top of a hill in one of Boston's parks, and it gave us a gorgeous view of downtown Boston.
125 - in the kitchen
Eric and I went to visit our friends Asha and Tamika in Boston. Asha and Eric are the cooks in our respective households, and they made us some fantastic pizza.
123 - exit stage left
Apparently Natalie wasn't up for being part of my project during this photo shoot.
